Evening Song, an auditioned choir from the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, welcomes all singers, professional and amateur, who share a love of inspirational music and a passion for the choral arts. We are preparing for its 2009 – 2010 performance season and have need of soprano, alto, tenor, baritone and bass voices.
AUDITIONS
Auditions are scheduled by appointment and will be held on Thursday, August 20 and Thursday, August 27, 2009. Evening Song’s artistic director will conduct the audition, which will last approximately 15 minutes. Applicants will be evaluated based on the following:
♫ A good choral voice, not necessarily a solo voice
♫ An ability to blend with other voices
♫ Intonation, rhythm, and general musicianship
REHEARSALS AND PERFORMANCES
Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings from 7:00pm – 9:30pm at
Evening Song requires two commitments from Members;
♪ To learn notes outside of rehearsal and therefore come prepared to rehearsals
♪ To be present for every rehearsal and scheduled performance.
Evening Song has two Performance Seasons annually: Christmas (September 3 through December 13, 2009) and Spring (January 14 through April 17, 2010). Each season consists of 3 to 6 performances. Additionally, this spring season we will be touring in the
